Coopers Flat Cemetery Memorial

The College playground is on the site of Coopers Flat Cemetery which was the final resting place for many people from the North Shore Catholic community from 1863 to around 1910.

The College is collecting the life stories of these people as a memorial to them. While we have a list of who was interred here, we are keen to provide more detail to their lives. Most were of Irish background and many were former convicts. Some died in tragic circumstances, others such as the Lofbergs and Archbolds were important local pioneers.

The following list of names and basic details is courtesy of the wonderful work done by local historian Joan Antarakis and the Willoughby Historical Society.
